David has over 20 years of practical experience in information technology, business, and digital strategy and has held senior leadership roles for some of the largest tech companies in the world. This has included senior roles in both sales and delivery for companies such as KPMG, Microsoft, IBM, and Hitachi. David has also been a successful entrepreneur. In total, David has been involved in both the sales and delivery of over 500 technology projects and has received more than 50 personal recommendations for his work. David has worked with various technologies, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, UIPath, VMware, EMC, Cisco, SAP, and Oracle. He holds over 20 separate technical certifications in Cloud, AI, RPA, and IoT and is both a Microsoft and an AWS-certified Cloud Solution Architect. He is a certified member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Six years ago, he received the honor of being appointed as a Microsoft Regional Director. A select group of 200 individuals globally, Microsoft RDs are picked based on their broad industry and technical expertise and thought leadership and are asked to advise Microsoft on its product roadmap and strategy. Always learning, late in his career, David decided to go back to school and obtain a PhD in AI and IoT. This was in addition to already having degrees in engineering and finance with certifications in project management and operations. In his spare time, David likes to give back to the community. This includes being an Instructor and Deputy Captain for the NSW Rural Fire Service and an Emergency Medical Technician and Zone Leader for St. John Ambulance, managing their Major Event and Incident Management capabilities.

Regional Directors do not work for Microsoft, rather they are industry experts who are chosen by Microsoft to provide advice on the companies product roadmap and business strategy. In this role David provides advice to Microsoft\'s product team on their GenAI/AI/IoT/Cloud Product Roadmap and Strategy.
