About Daniel E. Gih
I am board-certified in general psychiatry as well as child and adolescent psychiatry. As a Distinguished Fellow of both the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, I have over 15 years of experience in academic and clinical psychiatry. My career is focused on providing mental health services for children and adolescents, educational leadership, and residency training. Currently, I am a Professor and the Founding Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), where I also serve as Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Psychiatry. Additionally, I hold adjunct faculty positions at the University of Michigan and Creighton University. I have authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and delivered more than 70 presentations at national meetings and grand rounds. My expertise includes psychiatric education, eating disorders, and digital professionalism.
