About Chelsia Berry

As the Associate Dean of Healthcare & Human Services at Seattle Central College, my mission is to drive strategic leadership and foster an environment that champions equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. I am committed to empowering organizational excellence while enhancing student success through comprehensive program evaluations aimed at improving student outcomes. My tenure has been marked by the development of transformative strategies and the cultivation of key partnerships, such as Year Up and the Health IT Micropathway, that advance educational opportunities and financial accessibility for students. We\'ve established robust cohort-based programs that have already supported hundreds of students in targeted populations, reflecting our organization\'s dedication to removing barriers and promoting inclusive growth within the community. I’ve learned that though there may be many supplements for education, there are none for belonging. My 10+ years of Board work with nonprofits has been centered on fund development, advocacy, DEIA, and strategic planning. In recent years, UNCF Seattle and the Legacy Foundation of Seattle fundraised over $1M to advance their civic and educational missions to meet the needs of the community.
