Dr. J. Blair Cano is a distinguished Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist with a career defined by service, precision, and excellence. A former Aviation Electrician who maintained F-14 Tomcat fighter jets with VF-101, Dr. Cano brings a disciplined operational mindset to the field of military psychology.Dr. Cano holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminology with a specialization in Forensics. She advanced her academic career with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, a second Master’s in Clinical Psychopharmacology, and earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with specialty training in Neuropsychology.With a decade and a half of clinical expertise, Dr. Cano specializes in the evaluation and treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), particularly within elite military populations. Her clientele has included U.S. Army Green Berets, Marine Raiders (MARSOC), Air Force Special Operations Forces Command (AFSOC), Navy SEALs, MACV-SOG legacy veterans, WWII combat survivors and Jedburghs, personnel from The Agency, members of the Army’s elite Combat Applications Group (CAG), and cadets from our prestigious military academies. Currently based in Colorado Springs, Dr. Cano serves as off-post clinical support with the 10th Special Forces Group, where she provides mission-critical psychological and neuropsychological services. Her professional licensure spans seven states: Hawaii, Colorado, New Mexico, New York, Missouri, Texas, and Virginia.Dr. Cano’s unique integration of operational military experience and advanced clinical expertise enables her to serve with unmatched insight and dedication to the special operations community.Additionally, she provides professional coaching in the areas of Emotional Intelligence in Leadership and Military Transition as well as thought partnership. Dr. Cano is also the Senior Consulting Psychologist for ClearancePsych in the Western Region. She has extensive experience conducting neuropsychological and psychological evaluations with patients of all ages. As a Navy veteran, Dr. Cano has worked with thousands of current military members and veterans and has unique experience assessing and treating Post Traumatic Stress, mild Traumatic Brain Injury, and Moral Injury. She has conducted many psychological evaluations in security clearance matters and in other high stakes decision making contexts. As a treatment provider, her area of experience is greatest with the Special Operations community throughout the nation and abroad.
