Brett Banducci is Director of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Research at Luminate Film & TV. Under Brett’s guidance, Luminate Film & TV\'s coverage of JEDI data expanded to over 1.5 million people and quickly became an industry-leading approach to the collection of respectful, accurate, and unbiased demographic data. The dataset includes ethnicity, country of origin, gender, LGBTQ+, disability, religious/cultural affiliation and practice, and age. It is the only DEI dataset to identify ethnicities in multiethnic individuals and also includes country of heritage, languages spoken, and personal pronouns, among other attributes. The investment made by Luminate Film & TV in the JEDI space is driven by the team’s commitment to supporting a more equitable and inclusive entertainment and media industry. Luminate\'s customers, including the leading streamers, networks, studios, and agencies, are using JEDI data to advance representation, drive diverse hiring, meet inclusion content requirements, and evaluate their progress both internally and against peers.Brett was a guest panelist at NATPE 2022 where he participated in a virtual panel titled \"The Business Case for Diversity in Casting.\"
