ABOUT BEVERLEY ADAMS

I am the Head of Client Engagement for Marsh Advisory’s Strategic Risk Consulting practice, proudly empowering executive teams and investors. Working globally through a risk + horizon scanning lens, I help orgnisations grow, compete and perform faster, better, smarter, safer, more affordably and sustainably. I am a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, with +20 years of SME experience in sustainability, climate, ERM/GRC, nature based solutions and catastrophe risk and resilience, insurance and alternative risk transfer solutions, and more recently ESG reporting, people risk and pensions. I am a recognised thought leader and innovator. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is helping executives, clients and colleagues become fluent in the languages of climate and sustainability, which I do through workshops, events, publications, training and guest lectures.I was recognised as Consulting Magazine’s female ESG consultant of the year 2023 and I also co-chaired the Green Finance Institute\'s Natural Flood Management programme and am a founding member of DEFRA\'s property flood resilience roundtable. I hold a PhD in Climate Risk from UCL and am passionate about helping organisations across all industry sectors, captives, insurers, and governments address their headline and emerging challenges and opportunities. I take great pride mentoring Marsh’s next generation of consultants and engagement leaders and helping dear friends and colleagues as we all learn and grow professionally and within ourselves.
