Z Lens LLC is the developer and patent rights holder to Zonular Capture Haptic technology and to the completely novel and effective Accommodative Disaccommodative Intraocular Lens (AD-IOL) System. The Zonular Capture Haptics transmit the full movement of the ciliary muscle to the AD-IOL. The Zonular Capture Haptics breaks the restrictions inherent in all previous accommodative IOL’s and allows unhindered transmission of both accommodative and disaccommodative forces and amplitude of movement generated by the ciliary body and elastic structures of the eye. The Zonular Capture Intraocular Lens System exploits these capabilities fully to generate full accommodation.The ZCH method has been proven in primate experiments and has generated results unmatched by any intraocular lens currently available (accommodative amplitudes of up to 6 diopters).
