About Annise Mabry
Dr. Annise Mabry is a nationally recognized expert in trauma-informed education, alternative diploma pathways, and community-driven school reform. As the founder of The Dr. Annise Mabry Foundation and creator of the Tiers Free Homeschool Cooperative, she has helped thousands of at-risk, neurodiverse, and underserved youth earn high school diplomas outside traditional school systems. Dr. Mabry is the visionary behind award-winning programs that blend academic intervention, career training, and mental health support—including the groundbreaking Barista Source Academy and Georgia’s first rural co-responder model. A multi-award-winning author, her works include Educational Disobedience, Passion to Profit, and Trauma-Informed Teaching: From Reaction to Restoration. Through her writing, speaking, and podcast, she equips families, educators, and institutions with tools to disrupt cycles of trauma and build sustainable educational futures. Strengthening connections between law enforcement and the community serving Southwest Georgia rural police departments. Assist communities with implementing policing programs, accessing federal grant funding, and receiving training opportunities often reserved for larger metro agencies. Secured CJCC/GBI federal grant funding for Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Program (RSAT) for Washington County Sherriff’s Office. Secured $64,358 CJCC/GBI federal grant funding for Virtual Training Firearms Simulator for Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office. Created the only Community Policing Resource Center in Georgia in partnership with Good 360 and Walmart. Operating Christmas with a Cop, Backpack with a Cop, National Night Out, and the Rural Communities Diploma Program. The Oglethorpe Police Department was the first agency in Southwest Georgia to fully implement community policing as a patrol model and recognized a reduction in crime rate from 60% to 16% without hiring any new officers.
