About David R Anderson

I currently serve as a Foreign Service Officer at the Department of State. I am also engaged in veteran\'s advocacy, policy analysis, and research. These interests emerged from both my professional and academic experience. Over my twelve year career as a Marine Corps infantryman, my responsibilities ranged from engaging in combat operations to serving as the senior infantry adviser on a NATO training team to Afghan forces. My academic coursework has focused on international affairs, diplomacy, and security. My goal is to continue to serve my country as a civilian in the areas that I best can do so and to work with veterans to provide similar opportunities to pursue their goals of service outside of the military.
