Dr. Anant Kumar is a Fulbright Scholar, Behavioural Scientist, Professor, and Head of the Rural Management Programme at Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. In addition to his role at XISS, he is an Adjunct Additional Professor at the Global Institute of Public Health in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.Dr. Kumar earned his doctoral degree in Social Medicine and Community Health from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Allahabad. His academic and professional journey is marked by a series of prestigious appointments and recognitions, including the Fulbright-Nehru Academic and Professional Excellence fellowship and an Adjunct Associate Professorship in the Public Health Leadership Programme at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He has also been a Guest Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla.He is actively involved with various organizations and professional groups and has an extensive publication record in national and international journals. Dr. Kumar is also a member of numerous journal review panels. Beyond his academic and research endeavors, he is a Licensed Practicing Psychologist, providing counseling and psychological services to individuals, helping them navigate and improve their mental health and well-being.Dr. Kumar\'s areas of expertise include Behavioural Science, Public Health, Public Policy and Leadership. His multifaceted career reflects his commitment to advancing public health and psychological well-being through education, research, and practice.
