About Carly Drake
I am Associate Professor of Marketing at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, having received my PhD from the University of Calgary in 2019. I teach and research marketing from a sociocultural perspective, paying special attention to the gendered and embodied nature of our everyday consumption practices. I want to contribute to campus and disciplinary efforts to foster a more inclusive marketplace where one\'s gender and body do not limit their opportunities. I work towards this goal by using my skills as a relationship builder and storyteller to uncover and share the hidden aspects of consumption. I don\'t want to do this alone!
