Sequential decision making methods (reinforcement learning and beyond), anomaly detection, active learning, ensemble methods, cost-sensitive learning, adversarial learning, relational learning. Inverse reinforcement learning & inverse planning + state-action models. Task & motion planning, localization, mapping for autonomous vehicles. Adversarial learning. Intelligent interfacing with domain experts, interactive learning, knowledge-based learning. Principal Investigator of different DARPA AI research projects: Assured Autonomy, Bootstrapped Learning, Learning Applied to Ground Robots (LAGR), XData, PAL. Action Editor for Special Issues - Machine Learning journal (Springer). Program Chair of KDD 2015 Industry & Government Track. Workshops Chair of 2011 & KDD 2014. Senior PC member and Area chair of various ICML, IJCAI, KDD, ECML, SDM conferences. General co-chair and Local Chair of ICML 2011.
