ABOUT ZAHER RASLAN

As a UK-registered pharmacist and medical affairs specialist, I am dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes through strategic collaborations with the clinical community. My PhD in medical sciences and extensive research experience have enabled me to forge strong relationships with key opinion leaders and therapy experts, particularly in rare diseases. I excel in evidence generation, having published multiple peer-reviewed articles in cardiovascular disease, obesity, and haemostasis & thrombosis, and have led initiatives focused on real-world evidence and access to medicines.In medical affairs, I specialise in rare diseases, including bleeding disorders, rare immune disorders, and neuromuscular conditions. My roles as an MSL and Medical Manager have honed my expertise in data generation, dissemination, insights gathering, and scientific communication. I have spearheaded impactful medical affairs projects, led cross-functional teams to secure an MHRA licence extension, and supported NICE submissions. My experience spans all phases of a product life cycle, from pre-launch to growth, and I have collaborated closely with patient organisations.My commercial and strategic acumen is evident in my ability to align medical activities with business priorities, working seamlessly with marketing colleagues to drive therapy area expertise.
