ABOUT XELLEX Z. RIVERA

I am Dr. Xellex Z. Rivera (“Dr. X”), a Bronx native, social impact leader, and one of New York City’s youngest nonprofit C-Suite executives. With 15+ years of experience serving vulnerable communities, I currently serve as Chief Program Officer at Housing Solutions of New York, where I lead transformative initiatives that bring hope and dignity to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.My journey bridges leadership, scholarship, and empowerment. I am the founder and CEO of the #iAmSHE Women’s Empowerment Organization, dedicated to advancing minority women and girls through mentorship, sisterhood, healing, and empowerment. My doctoral research on homeless millennials has been featured in Forbes Women and the Bronx Network, reflecting my commitment to using knowledge to drive change.I am also an author, educator, and mentor. My book, Nobody Listens to Me: A Journey Towards Self and Substance, explores the power of listening to oneself as a foundation for success. As an adjunct professor and mentor to doctoral students, I am passionate about shaping the next generation of scholars and leaders.
