I am a senior education leader with extensive experience of shaping and governing institutional strategic initiatives. These initiatives deliver regulatory confidence, academic quality, and equitable student success. My work spans all aspects of the university including curriculum design, inclusive teaching and learning, student experience and academic quality. My approach ensures that institutional strategy, governance, and practice align to deliver an outstanding student experience and positive outcomes for all students.Currently Associate Professor and Dean of Student Outcomes at Oxford Brookes University, I lead the strategic design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the University’s Access and Participation Plan, a mission-critical regulatory requirement and condition of registration with the Office for Students (OFS). This role carries institutional risk, Board-level accountability, and responsibility for embedding equity, quality and performance improvement across all faculties and professional services. My leadership spans- Institutional education strategy and regulatory compliance- Academic quality assurance and enhancement- Learning, teaching and assessment equity- Student success, retention, attainment and progression- Academic advising and integrated student support models -Graduate outcomes and employability equity- Evidence-led change and evaluation at scaleI have led the development of governance structures, implementation of University change programmes that support equity and inclusion, and led the development of evaluation methodologies that enable complex strategies to be delivered across large, multidisciplinary organisations. My work requires sustained engagement with senior leaders, Deans, academic governance committees and governing bodies, translating policy and regulation into effective institutional practice.Alongside my institutional leadership, I hold national roles that influence education policy and practice, including Co-Chair and Trustee of the Forum for Access and Continuing Education (FACE), editorial board membership of the Journal of Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning and leadership of funded research relating to specific student demographics and widening participation. I bring a values-driven but highly strategic approach to education leadership: designing systems that combine academic excellence, regulatory integrity and social purpose. My professional commitment is to provide an equitable learning experience that is truly transformative impacting the success of every learner.
