Dr. Walter J. “McDee” McDaniels is a conflict alchemist — blending academic rigor, data-driven insights, trauma-informed empathy, and real-world peacebuilding into one powerful presence. As Director of the Benedict College Conflict Resolution Center, published author and narrative mediation expert, he not only teaches resolution—he lives it. Whether he is shaping future business leaders, calming storms between congregations and church leadership, or pioneering conflict resolution practices for government and corporate executives, his work straddles justice, transformation, and communal healing. With a Ph.D. in Conflict Resolution and a specialization in community conflict, coupled with 25 years of investigative experience in law enforcement, Dr. McDee has one foot in Goffman’s theory and the other in real-time narrative mediation and conflict resolution training rooms, making social science and the practical real world come together in a collaborative and meaningful way. Dr. McDee views conflict not as combustion, but as a strategic conversation waiting to happen. His conversations inspire. His presentations teach. Dr. McDee’s vision builds. From mentoring his students at Benedict College, from post-graduation onward, to launching the Sammons Solution Model, his focus is on equipping others to find their voice, peace, and individual power to help as many people as possible.
