A Neuroscientist with Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology, Cancer biology and Neurophysiology background. Worked on identifying the biomarker for Glioma (brain tumor) and doing Neurophysiology research for the past one decade. My PhD was on animal model of Temporal lobe epilepsy (from National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences). Study is about understanding the neurobiology of temporal lobe epilepsy and the effect of therapeutic interventions using an animal model. It involves assessment of behavior (anxiety, depression and cognition), electrical activity of brain and brain plasticity. Both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions were evaluated in drug resistant animal model of epilepsy. Has explored the capabilities of EEG, ERP and Polysomnography techniques to understand the brain activity of individuals with mentally illness (Schizophrenia, Epilepsy). For two and a half year, worked with a group of brilliant engineers to translate Neuroscience research ideas using EEG-based healthcare and research-level solutions. In collaboration with a premier research/medical institute, worked with novel tACS stimulation studies in sleep as well as development of portable EEG device for epilepsy. Currently working on chronic non-organic pain. In this study we are aiming to understand the cognitive, perceptual, affective underpinnings in chronic non-organic pain.\"Interested in understanding neuroplasticity in health and disease\"
