Dr. V.C. VivekanandanCurrently, I am Dean of School of Law at Bennett University, where I teach courses on Commercial Laws. I am on lien from NALSAR University of Law where I served as the Minsitry of Human Resources Development –Govt. of India Chair Professor of IP and as Director of NALSAR Proximate Education. My career span includes the Deanship of the Rajiv Gandhi School of IP Laws at IIT Kharagpur, Head of Distance Education at National Law School of India University. I have additionally served as the Founder Direcor of Legal Information Institute of India; Director, Institute of Global Internet Governance & Advocacy and Adjunct Professor, University of Buffalo Business School, New York; I was an elected member of ALAC-ICANN and also was the official Indian delegate to World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) meets. My research interests include public policy issues of IPR, Internet Law and governance, international trade and IPR, data exclusivity, limitations and exceptions of copyright in education, and treaty on broadcasting. My research papers have been published by The Institute of Intellectual Property (Tokyo), Annual Survey of Indian Law (New Delhi), Wilfred Laurier Press, Elgar Edward, Kyung Hee University and others.
