ABOUT VIVEK PAULRAJ

With over eight years of experience in research and development of energy storage materials and devices, I am a passionate and innovative Assistant Manager Research Engineer at Ola Electric, a leading electric mobility company in India. My mission is to contribute to the advancement of clean and sustainable energy solutions for the transportation sector, and to leverage my expertise in lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, and solid-state electrolytes. I am motivated by the challenges and opportunities of working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team and learn from the best in the industry.In my current role at Ola Electric, I am involved in various research projects related to the formation optimization, differential voltage analysis, differential capacity analysis, and post-mortem analysis of lithium-ion pouch cells. I use various techniques such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, distribution of relaxation time, and tear down analysis to study the performance, degradation, and failure mechanisms of the battery cells. I also synthesize and fabricate different cathode, anode, and solid-state electrolyte materials for high-power lithium-ion batteries, using methods such as sol-gel, hydrothermal, and spin coating. I have developed multiple skills in these areas, such as lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, research, synthesis, fabrication, and analysis.
