ABOUT VIKRAM PATIL
I am currently working as, Director, ADCET-Ashta (An autonomous institute affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur) This institute is running B Tech programs in Thrust areas like; Artificial intelligence & Data Science, Computer Engg(IoT, Block Chain) Aeronautical Engg, Food Technology. I have completed Ph.D. in Mobile Communication-Computing in the year 2010 from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, before that obtained my ME (Electronics -Computer – Application) in 1994 and BE in Electronics in 1987. I am working in the education field at different levels in various institutes for the last 33 years. For, last 10 years, working as a Principal/ Director in different institutes. I am recognized research guide in Shivaji University, Kolhapur and has successfully guided 6 Ph D. students. My research interests are Mobile & Wireless Communication, Cryptography, OFDM. Currently I have started working in the area of UAV. I have filed and published one patent on \"A Method for preventing cheating in visual cryptography for anti-phishing and authentication for online transactions\" in the year 2016. I have more than 25 publications, with most of them in journals indexed by google scholar, Scopus, and web of science. To keep myself apprised with the latest technology, I have completed several MOOCs courses in technical and non-technical domains, list include, Patent drafting, OBE, and Accreditation courses through various MOOCs platforms, and I have 15 NPTEL certifications covering varied subjects like IoT, Python programming, Design Thinking, In one course \"IP Management for Universities\" I am course topper at national level. I have completed 07 consultancy projects. I have also guided many Institutes for NBA and NAAC accreditation. I have taken many initiatives to nurture skill-based learning and learning beyond the academic curriculum. I have always strived to strengthen the industry-institute interaction and internship activities in all his associated institutes. I always ensured that all students grow beyond their comfort zones and learn to develop good communication skills, teamwork management, and a firm hold on academics. I am actively involved in Startup activities and Incubation center activities. In 2019, I have been honored with the “Best Director/Principal Award” in 7th Academic Brilliance Awards at New Delhi. Also, awarded the “Innovative Technological Research & Dedicated Principal Award”, by the Society of Innovative educationalist and scientific research professionals.
