As an intern in the CST Division at NACO, I am engaged in diverse responsibilities that contribute to the effective monitoring and implementation of India’s national HIV/AIDS care and treatment program. My role includes:Data Analysis & InterpretationAnalyzing large-scale programmatic and patient-level data from ART centres across the countryIdentifying trends, service gaps, and outcomes related to HIV care, support, and treatmentPreparing data summaries, reports, and visualizations for internal reviews and national-level presentationsMonitoring & Evaluation (M&E)Supporting the review and assessment of ART centre performance indicatorsAssisting in the development of dashboards and performance tracking toolsReviewing monthly and quarterly reports from states/partners and providing feedbackPolicy & Research SupportContributing to literature reviews and background research for national guidelines and program documentsAssisting in the preparation of concept notes, SOPs, and technical briefs related to HIV treatment servicesProgram CoordinationLiaising with State AIDS Control Societies (SACS), development partners, and technical support unitsParticipating in coordination meetings and national reviews to understand programmatic strategiesCapacity Building ExposureObserving how training modules and program tools are developed and evaluatedLearning about the integration of TB/HIV, pediatric HIV care, and differentiated service delivery models
