He has written, directed and acted in many plays, which participated in National and International theatre festivals. Participated as a performer and troupe leader of the Theru–K-koothu group in the Festival of India in France (1985), Sweden (1987) and Festival de I’imagenerie at Paris (1997). Did more then 100 One Man Theru-K-koothu performances in U.K, USA, France, Germany and Switzerland The Play “Karunchuzhi” The Black- Whirl (1990) and ‘Oosi’ The Needle (1992) based on the concept of ‘Prop’s Theatre. Recipient of the award in 1995 of visitor ship to France under Indo – French programme of Social Sciences for doing research on contemporary theatre and choreography. And also got a fellowship from British council (1995) to visit London to study contemporary British theatre. Author of the book, “Karunchuzhi”, a collection of his plays, received the best book award from the Tamilnadu and Pondicherry Government. The book also received cash award from Thirupur Tamil Sangam for the year Author of the plays named The Sleepers, The Sleepers in the Wax Palace, No mention Please, “Let the Actor Open his Eyes”, “ Shakespeare Alone” and “Actors Are Not Allowed”.Visited USA, presented research paper in the 25th Mid America Theatre Conference held at Kansas City in March 2005. Guest Lecture at Wisconsin University Madison USA.The play “Peyythther” The Mirage written and Directed by him was nominated for META Award 2007 in three categories, Best Play Production, Best Choreography and Best Lighting Design. Presented Panchali Sabatham Theru Koothu in Bharathi’s 125 Anniversary Celebration in France 2007 at Paris. In May 2010 Visited Presented a paper and conducted a Writers workshop at the Great Plain Theatre Conference at Omaha, USA. Directed and Performed Madurai Veeran Theru Koothu at the 23rd Annual Convention of Federation of Tamils of North America at Waterbury, Connecticut, USA in July 2010 Performed at Esplanade Singapore 2011
