ABOUT ULRICH THÖLKE
As a child, I wanted to be a scientist. I saw myself exploring life in the deep sea in a submarine or digging for dinosaur bones or Roman artefacts with a trowel and brush. At the time, I had no idea that you could also study corporate law scientifically (even today, I find it challenging to explain to my children what it actually is). The constant desire to ask the right questions, coupled with the realisation that not all answers come from corporate law, then led me to KPMG Law. After all, finding the best and simplest solution to complex situations requires profound legal analysis, creative legal design and a knowledgeable eye for the contributions that other disciplines can make.
