ABOUT ULRICH JAHNKE
Looking back on more than 15 years of experience with 3D printing and the whole additive manufacturing process chain. After studying engineering informatics, I did a deep dive as a research assistant at the University of Paderborn and its Direct Manufacturing Research Center (DMRC). Main research was focused on quality management, workflow optimization and the question of how product piracy can be curbed through the use of additive manufacturing processes. In parallel together with two partners we founded Additive Marking in 2018 with the vision of marking all 3D-printed components directly in the production process in a machine-readable way to bring the vision of industry 4.0 on shopfloor level. Additive Marking uses this innovative technology to connect digital and physical world by applying digital identities to physical assets. After completing my doctoral thesis, I started shaping the future strategy and r&d processes of Krause DiMaTec GmbH as part of the management team. Since 2020, I have been working with 120% passion and experience to realize the vision of Additive Marking.
