PhD from Durham University, studying the use of narrative warfare, particularly in the form of sectarian rhetoric, on social media in the \'New Middle East Cold War\' between Saudi Arabia and Iran, focusing on its impact in legitimising extraordinary actions in Yemen.Currently working on two projects: on the Iranian women\'s movement, researching Iranian state propaganda suppressing it, and the emancipatory use of TikTok by protestors; and on Saudi Arabia’s ownership of Newcastle United.
