ABOUT TIM GUIMOND
I am a psychiatrist with a PhD in Biostatistics. In addition to providing clinical services to concurrent disorder patients, I have taught medical students, residents and students of other health disciplines in Motivational Interviewing, Community Reinforcement Approach to substance use treatment and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. My clinical education includes medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and a psychiatric residency at the University of Toronto, where I also completed a Masters of Science in Statistics.I recently completed a PhD in Biostatistics at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, under the supervision of Prof. Michael Escobar where I learned about the Dirichlet Process prior and its application to regression, causal inference and cost-effectiveness in Bayesian statistical analysis with applications in health research and public health.My clinical interests include: Addictions, Concurrent Disorders, Motivational Interviewing, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder.
