ABOUT TEENA CLOUSTON

I am a Professor Emerita in Occupational Therapy, Life Balance & Wellbeing at Cardiff University, College of Biomedical and Life Sciences. My research/ area of professional expertise lies in occupational science, work-life and lifestyle balance, wellbeing and stress reduction in everyday life.I have held a variety of strategic roles including: Director of Learning in Practice, School of Healthcare Sciences, Cardiff University. In this role I lead on the development of practice learning for all Allied Health Professions in the School, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, diagnostic and therapeutic radiography and operating department practitioners. Professional Lead for Occupational Therapy at Cardiff University. Key objectives were to lead on innovation, research and engagement for the profession and to promote and develop the excellence of occupational therapy. Previous to this I was Programme Manager for Occupational Therapy leading on all aspects of programme delivery and development including the curriculum at undergraduate and post graduate levels; student support and development; staff leadership, mentorship, support and development.Relevant qualifications include Doctor of Philosophy, MBA, Postgraduate Diploma in Social Sciences Research Methods, Diploma in Occupational Therapy, Diploma in Counselling; Advanced Diploma in Aromatherapy, Certificate in Hypnotherapy. I am a HCPC registered Occupational Therapist and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am a member of the College and Britsh Associaiton of Occupational Therapy and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.Other skills include relaxation therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, brief therapy and mindfulness.
