ABOUT TASKEEN ADAM
Taskeen is passionate about addressing injustices in open and online education in low- and middle-income countries. She completed her PhD on ‘Addressing Injustices through MOOCs: A study among peri-urban, marginalised South African youth’ at the University of Cambridge. Her research highlighted that historical injustices, cultural imposition, and economic dependence continue to play a pivotal role in education. Taskeen has over 10 years of experience in education and EdTech in LMICs, including conceptualising, developing, piloting, leading, researching and managing various EdTech projects. She has in-country experience in South Africa, the UK, India, Rwanda and Niger and has provided technical assistance and/or helpdesk support to Tanzania, Ghana and Sierra Leone.
