A master teacher who serves in the capacity of a site based content coach or Comprehensive Reform Design (CRD) coach. Receives extensive training in content, instructional methods and techniques. Continuously provide leadership and expertise at the local school level to support improvement in teacher instruction. Duties include: • Promotes district instructional priorities by providing support and demonstration of the following skills: training, modeling coaching and instructional guidance necessary for the operation of the instructional program.• Ensures fidelity of implementation of the site based Comprehensive School Reform model via monitoring and observation.• Conducts informal classroom observations and provides feedback to teachers and assists with the development of new teachers.• Facilitates professional learning communities and assists teachers with collaborative lesson planning.• Monitors students’ progress and arranges for academic interventions based on formative and summative assessments.• Conducts analysis of formative and summative student data and recommends modifications to instruction.• Uses observation and achievement data to identify professional development needs and designs and delivers site based professional learning.• Assists with reviewing classroom lesson plans and provides lesson plan feedback to teachers.• Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.• Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated.
