I am a Master’s student in Health Informatics at Indiana University, Indianapolis, with a strong foundation in both healthcare and data analytics. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (First Division Honors, 9 distinctions), where I developed a deep appreciation for patient care and the role technology can play in improving outcomes. Along the way, I have cultivated skills in SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and predictive modeling, which allow me to translate raw data into meaningful insights that support evidence-based healthcare.Professionally, I practiced as a Dentist in India, where I provided comprehensive patient care and successfully digitalized three years of clinic records, boosting efficiency by 30%. My project on health insurance premium prediction allowed me to apply machine learning methods (XGBoost, achieving R²: 0.9941) to derive actionable insights. Most recently, as an Intern at Wellness Connection, I created a live DHIS2 dashboard using raw patient data from 2018–2024 on the PHQ-9 questionnaire, enabling stakeholders to monitor depression-related health trends in real time. These experiences reflect my ability to bridge clinical expertise with data-driven solutions.Looking forward, I aim to grow as a Health Informatics Specialist, focusing on the design and application of digital health tools, predictive analytics, and healthcare data systems. My goal is to leverage my combined background in dentistry and health informatics to improve healthcare delivery, support clinical decision-making, and enhance patient outcomes globally.
