ABOUT STUART BALL
I am a chartered process and facilities engineer with 19 years of combined engineering and digitalisation experience which is leveraged to ensure business cases are met, project budgets / schedules are achieved and technical solutions for complex engineering problems are optimised. Positions I have held include Senior, Principal and Lead Engineer roles as well as current management experience for projects executed in the UK, Norway, Africa, MENA and Australia. From an engineering perspective, my onshore and offshore expertise encompasses field development and concept select through to detailed engineering design for both greenfield and brownfield energy projects. Experienced in a range of production fluids including carbon dioxide, hydrogen, sweet/sour gas, GTL, LNG, NGL, oil and sulphur.My digitalisation work builds on my process engineering knowledge and understanding of project execution methodologies to manage the development of automated and standardised engineering tools through collaboration with IECs and IOCs to help create resilient designs in compressed timelines for renewable and oil / gas projects. In addition to managing these programs I also contribute directly to the coding as I am also a self-taught Python programmer – this is definitely a work in progress as there is always more to learn.
