ABOUT STELLA MCKNIGHT

I am an enthusiastic, self-motivated, accomplished leader in education, educated at Doctoral level and with wide experience and success in driving growth in employer, community and civic engagement and in enhancing student outcomes through taking a multi-faceted approach. I have significant knowledge and extensive experience in leading and managing a wide range of high-performing teams together with excellent planning and organisational skills. For example, as Director Help to Grow: Management I took a leading role in securing the award of Small Business Charter, project managing mine and others time and workload to meet deadlines. While also establishing a vibrant and connected alumnus which has achieved national recognition for being one of the top performing programmes nationally.My roles have included leading in the development, implementation and delivery of institutional strategies for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, and Business Engagement and Partnership Development. My strategic thinking, relationship skills, project management and ability to communicate effectively across differing levels led to my achieving results and to succeed in driving forward an important part of the institution’s vision and strategy for growth.I have demonstrated strong skills in building impactful relationships and effectively communicating and engaging with industry and civic leaders at all levels. This has contributed to my capability in increasing institutional revenue through identifying client needs and successfully tendering for, and securing government and corporate funding.My career and research focus has been influenced by my growing interest in the relationship between academic and industry collaboration this leading to publication and sharing this at profiled conferences. Consequently, I have fulfilled many advisory roles on Boards including for the Chartered Management Institute, TechSkills, and Chartered Association of Business Schools.
