ABOUT SIMON MEIENBERG
Simon Meienberg is a design ethnographer with a research interest in postcolonial urban development eco-social transformation and citizen participation. In his dissertation “Dakar Mobilities” he investigates urban practices of exclusion and participation at the example of the TER railway line in Dakar. To make forced displacements and erasures visible he employs multimodal and co-creative methods like mapping, acting, drawing and intervening. He recently successfully completed his doctoral journey at the DFG funded Research Training Group “connecting – excluding. Cultural dynamics beyond globalized networks” at the University of Cologne.
