My area of interest is Optimization problem formulation & solution, Energy Market Design, and Energy Policy Issues. Currently, I am developing a Python-based tool for the revenue maximization of battery energy storage systems in the different electricity markets of the USA. The revenue streams of the battery consist of energy arbitrage and ancillary services. Previously, I worked on the nGEM product, developed in JAVA, as a market clearing engine (for the electricity market) lead role at GE focusing on the following areas. • Day-ahead and real-time markets (security-constrained commitment, scheduling, and dispatching) • Financial Transmission Rights (FTR) • Forward capacity markets • Look ahead and fast-start resource commitment and dispatch • ENTSO-E capacity allocation, scheduling, and balancing market • Settlements
