ABOUT SHIVANI SINGH
Women’s history has been one of the streams in History which she has shown interest in, since the beginning of her research. Doctorate in women\'s educational history, currently researching as an ICHR post doctoral fellow at TISS Mumbai in the same field with reference to Pune and Mumbai, pre-independence. She has been teaching papers like, History and Philosophy of Science, History of Indian Modernity, History of Ideas and Modern Indian Thinkers. She has also been teaching Introduction to Research Methodology, and electives on women studies, such as Women and Development, Ecofeminism: approaches and practices. As a Liberal Arts faculty, she is actively involved in introducing new electives and developing syllabus of the same.Teaching History and Philosophy of Science has given Shivani opportunity to find research avenues in the same.
