ABOUT SHEMEKA MILLNER-WILLIAMS

With over 24 years in public education, my leadership journey has spanned the classroom, campus, and central office—culminating in my current role as Deputy Superintendent of Leadership, Accountability & District Improvement. Previously serving as Deputy Superintendent and Interim Superintendent in Lancaster ISD and as Assistant Superintendent of Academics in Cedar Hill ISD, I’ve led transformative efforts to elevate student achievement, strengthen instructional leadership, and build systems of equity and excellence.At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to strategic improvement, data-informed decision-making, and the development of empowered, high-performing teams. As a Holdsworth District Leadership Champion and TED-Ed Innovative Educator, I bring a recognized track record of innovation and impact. I remain steadfast in the belief that student success is driven by the actions and alignment of adult systems—and that every learner deserves access to world-class instruction.
