I have been working as a senior consultant physician at Fortis Hospital in Bengaluru (previously Wockhardt Hospital and Heart Institute) since 1992. My primary responsibilities include diagnosis and treatment of medical complications such as diabetes, hypertension and ischeamic heart disease in all high risk surgical patients and out-patients. Since 2011, I have been treating patients with acute strokes, epilepsy and other neurological diseases. I am also involved in teaching post-graduate students their coursework on internal medicine as a part of the hospital\'s academic program. I deliver lectures on various medical topics and conduct bedside clinics for the resident doctors. I also conduct health education lectures to corporate executives. I also teach the nurses about patient care.I previously served as a medical officer responsible for pre-employment and annual health checkups for employees of companies in the information technology industry, pharmaceutical industry, banks and insurance firms.
