Changing lives, Impacting mindset.One mind at a time!#Dr. Shama Hamdani is a seasoned Clinical Psychologist who has been associated with many causes & programs related to mental health and well-being of the society at-large. Dr. Hamdani completed her Postgraduate degree(M.Phil.) in Clinical psychology at Pt Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, subsequently pursuing Doctorate / PhD in Psychology from her alma-mater. As a part of continuous learning, she also attained a Universal Degree in Forensic Psychology & Criminal Psychology from IFS, Pune. Dr. Hamdani is currently associated as a teaching faculty at Dept of Psychology, Pt Ravishankar Shukla University. With her varied experience of over 10 years in the field of Mental Health, she is also registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India. Dr. Hamdani has taught a broad variety of graduate, PG & PG Diploma Rehabilitation psychology students. She has lectured & presented training seminars and workshops at State, interstate & national level. From a research standpoint, her publication interests have included psychosomatic disorders & marital satisfaction.During her clinical practice she has counselled cases of Rape survivors, helped improve mental health of inmates at Central Jail, Durg, intervened specially-abled population & other mentally challenged people in the community. She focuses on non-pharmacological intervention of psychopathology. Additionally, she is a honorable guest faculty & consultant at esteemed institutions like Medical, Nursing & Physiotherapy Colleges,Corporate Hospitals & Industries. Dr. Hamdani is an accomplished speaker & keeps imparting awareness programs with the aim of \"enhancing mental health & preventing mental illness\"for varied population & youth in particular. Further, Dr. Hamdani also Trains, mentors, conducts internship programs in Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, Clinical assessment for students of Psychology.Her work also includes being an active consultant at Thathya Forensic Services where she helps in understanding the psychology behind crimes & forensics.With a purpose led mission to create a sustained impact in the society, Dr. Hamani’s clinical interests have included work with children, teens, adults, diagnostic assessment and addictions to help people overcome their challenges through self-awareness and realization of self-worth. Dr. Hamdani has been interviewed & quoted in many local and regional dailies, media houses as a testimony to her relentless focus to change lives and impact mindsets, one mind at a time.
