Currently working as a Senior Divisional Manager for Aero- Engine Group. The scope of the project is to analyze Aero engine FCB structures under various mission loading. Entire Project cycle consists of Analyzing 2D axisymmetric models initially for different design iterations to arrive at an optimized geometry to be used for Final 3D analysis. For 3D analysis Sub modeling Techniques are used for better mesh convergence and quick results. Once the parts met LCF Life and Strength criteria they are further optimized for weight and Cost. • Headed the Structural group of 30 engineers and responsible for overall delivery related to the transportation structural group business. Key responsibilities include engineering analysis, meeting revenue targets (0.13 Million USD), project management, client management and sales support. Achieved the target revenue with 10% annual growth along with meeting strict project time lines.• Manufacturing and Assembly nonconformance dispositions for Aero engine LPC cases, and FCB parts. Manufacturability improvement, Tolerance relaxation studies, Cost and weight reduction studies for Production parts and New engine program. It resulted in 25% reduction in overall implementation cost.• Subject matter expert for AI/ ML based design optimization processes. Successfully implemented the deep learning based NC disposition processes in the Aerospace domain with 15% cost saving• Subject matter expert for design optimization processes. Successfully implemented the optimization process in the railway domain. Achieved a weight saving of 1.69 Tonnes per car body for Aventra platform• Track record of achieving 0% altering rate of dept. during service. 20 plus years of industrial experience with expertise in handling long duration platform level structural analysis projects for Aerospace, Railways, commercial vehicles automobile and consumer product domains. • Senior Divisional Manager and Subject matter expert for the structural analysis of Aero Engine part families. This involved development of Sub modelling Techniques for better mesh convergence for further optimized for weight and Cost. This reduced 25% cost of execution. • Recently handled 2 major projects. One on Rapid Railway Transportation System (RRTS) and another on Metro and successfully completed them in compressed time lines of 9- months with 10% weight savings. • Development of surrogate model assisted optimization algorithms for single and multi- objective optimization for the reduction in solution time for optimization cycles of FE based optimization which is computationally very expensive. By this approach overall optimization time is only 7.5% as compared to conventional FE based optimizations. • Establishment of optimization processes for major railway structures which included car bodies. Secondary structure, traction motors and bogies. This included gauge, topology and shape optimization of structures. Saving of 1.69 tonne per car body achieved. • Developed analysis procedures for the shock and vibration of railway under frame equipment as per IEC 61373 test standards with good test correlation. This eliminated actual testing of equipment having low production volumes. • System architect for Physics of Failure (PoF) based diagnostic and prognostic asset health solution for various industry verticals. The solution included failure modes and first principles and achieved 13% reduction in maintenance cost for a heavy engineering OEM. • Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Developed durability and crash analysis procedures for the heavy commercial trucks and buses as per regulatory requirements for major programs such as LoneStar and ProStar. For concrete mixer task, achieved 100% filed failure correlation. • Product Development and Testing: Hands on experience in the overall product development cycle, value engineering, compliance as per various standards and achieved 15% cost saving in Whirlwind Series of fans • Technically motivated and has 5 papers published in international journals. Represented organizations in more than 5 national and international technical conferences and received best paper awards.
