Built the new Data Science & Engineering department and Aachen site from scratch• Together with my team, conceptualized and implemented all data-driven modules within the ESAapp – a modular software platform for digitizing and optimizing processes in recycling plants and machinery• Developed core components: IIoT pipeline, digital shadow, performance monitoring, and anomaly detection including ML-based diagnostics• Translated industrial customer needs into scalable digital solutions and co-defined the product vision, digital service strategy, and system architecture accordingly• Led recruiting and onboarding of all tech and customer success team members (10+ FTEs)• Served as key interface between engineering, operations, sales, and Group Management• Established partnerships with technology providers and academic institutions• Secured R&D grants to drive collaborative innovation
