ABOUT SCOTT TURNER
I am the Director of Computing at Canterbury Christ Church University, where I have been leading the strategic development and delivery of computing programmes and research since Sep 2020. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, I have a strong track record of enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, fostering academic excellence, and promoting innovation and collaboration in the field of computing. My research interests span semantic web, analytics, mobile technologies, mobile robotics, problem-solving, artificial intelligence techniques applied to real world problems, computing education, data analysis, medical signal processing, and data modelling. I have published multiple papers in journals and conferences, and hold a patent for an optical glucose detector. I am also a Pi Certified Educator, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and have been a member of the #LTHEchat organising team. I am passionate about advancing the field of computing and inspiring the next generation of computer scientists and engineers.
