ABOUT SATTIBABU MERUGU
Computational Modeling Scientist with expertise in chemoinformatics, phramcometrics, predictive toxicology, and translational modeling. My work integrates Nano-QSAR, PBPK, IVIVE modeling and mechanistic frameworks to advance predictive drug safety and risk assessment.I earned a PhD in Chemoinformatics, where I specialized in AOP-informed Nano-QSAR modeling to develop mechanistically interpretable models for nanomaterial risk assessment. During my M.S. in Pharmacoinformatics, I focused on Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD), applying computational approaches to drug discovery and optimization.Currently, as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Florida, I integrate PBPK and QSAR approaches to build quantitative, translational models that bridge in vitro findings with in vivo outcomes. My research aims to improve decision-making in drug development through data-driven, mechanistic modeling strategies. My core expertise includes:• PBPK & QSAR integration• Computational toxicology• Predictive modeling & machine learning• Drug safety assessment• Mechanistic risk evaluation• Chemoinformatics & CADDI am particularly interested in leveraging quantitative modeling and simulation to support safer, more efficient drug development within biotech and pharmaceutical environments.
