Dr. Sascha J. Semmler is a technology-driven innovation leader with more than 20 years of international experience at the intersection of engineering, product strategy, and transformation. He combines deep technical expertise with a strong business mindset, having led global teams and business units in Europe and the U.S. across automotive, mobility, and water infrastructure industries.After earning a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt, he began his career at Continental AG in advanced engineering and later served as Executive Assistant to the CEO – gaining broad exposure to corporate strategy and transformation. Over the following years, he held senior leadership roles in engineering, product management, manufacturing, and supply chain – with an increasing focus on innovation, systems thinking, and autonomy technologies.From 2021 to 2023, he was in charge of innovation strategy within the field of autonomous mobility. In 2023, he joined IDEX Corporation to lead product management, engineering, and innovation in the water infrastructure inspection space.Since September 2025, he is a Partner at schwarzenberg.tech GmbH, where he focuses on venture building, strategic technology leadership, and enabling transformation for the better – together with ambitious founders, corporates, and investors.His work is guided by a passion for shaping technology with purpose – turning complexity into scalable solutions that create long-term value.
