ABOUT SARTHAK KUMAR MOHANTY

After his M.D in Radiation Oncology in 2011, he joined 2 Year Advanced clinical Fellowship in High Precision Radiation Therapy (IMRT/IGRT) where he got trained in latest cancer treatment strategies and state of the art high precision techniques being employed in Radiation Oncology with latest modalities in Radiation Oncology in Tata Memorial Hospital viz. RapidArc,Tomotherapy IGRT, IMRT, Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), SRT, SBRT. He also gained experience in Respiratory management by Gating and Tracking etc. in Curie Hospital, Poland He has interest in research activities and has 2 peer reviewed publications to his credit. He worked at in NP Cancer Institute, Rajkot, Gujarat as Consultant Clinical Oncologist for 7 years. His professional goals are to achieve expertise in high end cancer management and research especially in radiation oncology with academic excellence. Currently he is working in Sterling Cancer Hospital, Rajkot, Gujarat CLINICAL EXPERTISE: • High Precision Radiation treatment techniques- 1. 3D-CRT 2. SBRT in Prostate cancers 3. IGRT, IMRT, VMAT-RapidArc 4. Brachytherapy; ICRT, IVRT, MUPIT, Interstitial Brachytherapy in Head and Neck cancers, ILRT. Recently we have installed new version of HALCYON unit ( type 3) in our department of Radiation Oncology. We also installed 32 slice dedicated 4 DCT SCAN with RPM & Gating with all kinds of motion management solutions. Attended 1st BRACHYACADEMY, hands on workshop in ICRT and MUPIT, held in TMH, mumbai • Comprehensive Cancer Diagnosis & Management. SOFT SKILLS: • Hard working Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with patients, families, physicians and hospital personnel. Loves painting Playing Cricket, Badminton, Chess • Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. • Willingness to accept responsibility.
