ABOUT SARAH WILSON
Sarah Wilson is a public health physician with experience in public health roles at the provincial and federal level in Canada. She is currently the Deputy Chief of Communicable Disease Control at Public Health Ontario. Sarah is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Public Health and Preventive Medicine and a graduate of the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Canadian Field Epidemiology Program. She holds appointments as an Associate Professor (status-only) at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health in both the Clinical Public Health and Epidemiology Divisions and as a Senior Adjunct Scientist at ICES (formerly the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences).Sarah’s interests are in the use of surveillance and administrative data to evaluate and optimize immunization programs and support public health policy with special interests in immunization coverage assessment and vaccine safety surveillance. She is a member of the Canadian Immunization Research Network and since 2020 has been a voting member of Canada’s National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI), becoming Vice-Chair in 2026.
