About Santhosh Abraham

I am an Accounting Academic (Associate Professor) based in Tennessee. I completed my PhD from the University of Exeter in 2008 focusing on risk reporting by public listed companies in the UK. I have more than ten years of University faculty experience, which include teaching, assessment and curriculum development on courses related to financial statement analysis, international accounting and contemporary issues in financial reporting at post graduate and undergraduate levels. My research focuses on corporate reporting with a particular emphasis on risk reporting and investor relations by public listed companies. This strand of research has direct policy implications for regulators and practitioners in accountancy and finance. My research involves working closely with industry practitioners and various business professional and government organisations. Specifically, I work with finance directors, senior investor relations officers, fund managers and investment analysts as preparers and users of corporate information. My engagement with industry partners has been very beneficial in informing my research led teaching and in the integration of practitioner orientated learning into the curriculum. I earned the right to use the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in January 2005
