ABOUT SAMANTHA S. COLEMAN

I am an award-winning visionary leader, educator, professional coach, and organizational consultant. I began my career working in mental health facilities, psychiatric hospitals, crisis programs, and private practices. While working in the non-profit and social service arena, I discovered my passion to improve the lives of others could be best utilized by creating a better system and assisting the future’s most promising resource: young girls. In 2005, I founded Assist Her, Inc, an Illinois non-profit organization that provided prevention, literacy, and mentoring programs to girls ages 10-18. Genuine, driven and skilled, I combined my clinical training and youth development experience with grassroots outreach to change lives one girl at a time. Upon closing its doors in 2014, Assist Her, Inc. serviced well over females in the Chicagoland area. My endeavor as a socially responsible entrepreneur brought me into the landscape of both public and higher education. This was a unique opportunity to delve into an industry outside of mental health, which required me to be competent in order to engage clients, staff, faculty, school administrators, teachers, students, corporations, and the community at large. Currently, my expertise in leadership, management, systems, culture, career advancement, etc. have found me in the classroom as a Professor preparing adult learners for their future careers as scholars and practitioners. In addition, I aid individuals in their personal and professional pursuits by serving as an Executive Coach and Accountability Partner. I also provide organizations with consulting services geared toward recognizing human potential as competitive advantage. My ability to design, coordinate, and facilitate seminars, webinars, and conferences make me a sought after thought leader in my field.
