She holds a PhD in Culture & Territory from Italy, a Master’s degree in Landscape and Territory Planning from France, and an Agricultural Engineering diploma from Lebanon. She also served as the elected chair of Education and Academic Affairs at the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) from 2018 to 2022. Passionate about creating inclusive sustainable public spaces, she empowers communities to combat nature deficit disorder and spatial injustice by reconnecting people to their outdoors. Through her movement “Yalla Go Outside!”, Salma aims to reconnect people to nature, promoting improved well-being and sustainable places, with a vision to change the world one neighborhood at a time. Dr Samaha communicates in English, French, Arabic and moderately in Italian. She is a knowledge addict, an outdoor addict and a marathoner. As a multi-survivor and positive thinker, Salma likes to describe herself as the Queen of Resilience!
