About Sainath K
Dr. Sainath K is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, B.M.S. College of Engineering. He has Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) and M. Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG). He has expertise in the field of membrane technology for gas separation and wastewater purification. In addition, he also worked in the synthesis of graphene oxide and zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIF-8 and ZIF-67), and in the area of stabilization of silicone oil-in-water emulsion. Prior to under graduation studies at BMSCE, he had obtained a diploma degree in Chemical Engineering in 2004 from Sri Jayachamarajendra Polytechnic, Bengaluru. Later, he served as a Brewer at Ms Skol Breweries Ltd, near Hyderabad from February 2005 to August 2007. He is passionate to teach young minds, who aspire to achieve great heights in the field of chemical and allied fields. His current research is inclined towards the development of sustainable nanomaterials for water treatment. In addition, he also works in the field of removal of CO2 from the atmosphere.
