ABOUT SAIKAT SEN

Dr. Sen is working as Professor & Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Assam down town University, Guwahati, India. He has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience. He gained his Bachelor Degree (B.Pharm) from JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, Master Degree (M. Pharm in Pharmacology) from College of Pharmacy, SRIPMS, Coimbatore in 2008 and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from JNT University Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh (2014). He has authored two books and contributed different peer-reviewed edited books published by American Chemical Society (USA), Springer Publishers and Studium Press LLC, Academic Press etc. More than 80 research and review articles in reputed national/international journals were added to his credit, presented several scientific papers, attended a number of national and international conferences and delivered invitee lecture in different international conferences. Dr. Sen is working as Editorial Board/Advisory Board Member and reviewer of several international and national journals. His bibliography published by MARQUIS Who\'s Who in The World 2016, he also received a monetary reward from J For Res in collaboration with Govt. of China to continue his research in herbal medicine. He received \"Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Young Scientists – 2018” by Marina Labs, Chennai in 2018, and \"Best Faculty Award\" in The Science & Technology Awards -2018 (STA-18) by Education Expo TV (EET) CRS, Greater Noida, India in 2018.He is a member of different professional bodies around the world and involve enthusiastically in scientific research on the traditional/folk medicinal system and to develop active research culture. Currently, his is also associated with a DBT networking project as Project Investigator (PI).Research interest of Dr. Sen includes Traditional medicine, Folk medicine, Pharmacy, Oxidative stress-related diseases mainly Diabetes, Hyperlipidemia and other metabolic diseases.
